The major stock averages are trading mixed today as investors continue to worry about the euro zone and over global economic growth. Europe continues to be one of the main focal points as French and German legislatures are having problems agreeing on creating a banking union in the euro zone. Investors are also increasingly nervous in the U.S. as the fiscal cliff comes closer.

The Dow is currently up slightly with a 3 point increase, the Nasdaq is down 16 points and the S&P 500 is down 1 point. Apple is weighing heavily on the Nasdaq today after a riot at a Foxconn Technology plant, which produces iPhones, caused the plant to close. [Read more...]
