Many traders were buzzing about oil earlier today after it fell $4 very quickly. Speculation ranged from technical issues to rumors that the White House was planning to release some from its reserves.
The Dow is down about 45 points heading into the close, the Nasdaq fell 6 points and the S&P 500 is down 5 points.
