Morning Nasdaq Gainers: MENT, ARUN, FMCN, CMED, SIRI

While the Nasdaq is trading sligthly down today, here’s five Nasdaq stocks bucking the downward trend.

Mentor Graphics Corp. (NASDAQ:MENT) is up 7.45% at $12.66 today. MENT announced third quarter results this morning that beat their own forecast. The company remains on track to reach $1 billion in annual sales. Mentor Graphics posted EPS of $0.22 compared to $0.14 a year ago. MENT has traded 1.6 million shares so far today, already above its daily average of 1.1 million shares. The company has a current market cap of 1.35 billion.

Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) is up 4.18% at $22.70 today. ARUN has traded 3.5 million shares so far today and will have no problem getting past its daily average of 3.8 million shares. ARUN gaped up to $24.24 this morning and has now fallen off that high. The company has a current market cap of 2.41 billion.

Focus Media Holding Ltd. (NASDAQ:FMCN) is up 5.14% at $26.58 today. Focus Media announced third quarter results earlier this morning. The company posted revenue of $210.7 million, well ahead of Wall Street estimates of $186.6 million. FMCN has traded 8 million shares so far today, more than double its daily average. The company has a current market cap of 3.60 billion.

China Medical Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:CMED) is up 12.99% at $4.35 today. CMED announced second quarter results earlier this morning with net revenue of $37.4 million, an increase of 18.1% from last year. CMED has traded 954 thousand shares so far today, well above its daily average of 256 thousand shares. The company has a current market cap of 115.59 million.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) is up 3.74% today at $1.8050. SIRI was upgraded this morning by a Lazard Capital analyst as a buy with a price target of $2.25. SIRI has traded 50 million shares so far today and trades 74 million shares daily. The company has a current market cap of 6.75 billion.
