NasdaqStocks are trading higher this morning thanks to optimism that Greece will complete its debt swap deal. Investors seemed to ignore the slightly negative jobless data today as weekly claims jumped 8,000 last week to 362,000. Economists were expecting claims to remain at 351,000. The major stock indices have given up some of their early gains, but remain positive right now. The Dow is up 40 points, the Nasdaq is up 17 points and the S&P 500 is up 7 points.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) is down 14.90% this morning at $9.25. DNDN has traded 13.1 million shares so far today, 3 million shares more than its daily average. Stocks are still down in midday as investors worry about Greece’s debt deal. Greece has been trying to complete a deal for weeks now. Right now the Dow is down 35 points, the Nasdaq is down 3 points and the S&P is down 2 points.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) is up 14.82% today at $16.27. DNDN has traded 20.8 million shares so far today and trades 8.5 million shares a day on average. DNDN shares are seeing a spike today after federal health regulators published a critical review for Amgen’s prostate cancer drug. The company has a market cap of 2.43 billion.

Zoltek Companies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZOLT) is up 11.75% this afternoon at $14.65. ZOLT has traded 2.2 million shares today, 7 times its daily average. Payroll Data Surprises to the Upside, 243,000 Jobs Added. Stocks to Watch: THLD, ZNGA, DNDN, WYNN, BAC, NFLX, APKT

All eyes this morning are fixated on the payroll data. Consensus expectations is for a gain of 120,000 jobs. Turns out the real number blew expectations out of the water. 243,000 jobs were added last month with a drop in the unemployment rate. The Dow futures are currently up 94 points to 12,760. Nasdaq 100 futures are tacking on 23 to 2,515. The S&P 500 futures are rounding out the gains, up 11.50 to 1,334.25.

The jobs data out today sent the unemployment lower to 8.3%. If the trend continues the rate will tack below 8% before the election cycle gets in full swing. This should act as a boon for Obama’s reelection chances.

Outside of the jobs data, the Institute for Supply Management will release its non-manufacturing on business for January at 10am EST.

On the earnings front, several companies are slated to report today. These include the beauty giant Estee Lauder (NYSE:EL) and cleaning-products company Clorox (NYSE:CLX).

Europe is edging higher ahead of the jobs data with the Stoxx 600 Index up .83% in trading. Investors are expected to turn their eyes back towards Greece again this weekend and debt talks resume. One wonders when the next unfounded rumor of a deal will be released? Who knows, maybe rumor # 155 will be the charms and there will be a deal.

In commodities oil is jumping with the rest of the market. Nymex futures are up 62 cents to $97 per barrel.

Stocks to watch today include Threshold Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:THLD), Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA), Dendreon Corp. (NASDAQ:DNDN), Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ:APKT)

Threshold Phamaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:THLD) is up 64.34% in pre market trading at $2.13. THLD shares are up this morning after Threshold and Merck KGaA announced global agreement to co-develop and commercialize hypoxia-targeted drug TH-302. THLD trades 136 thousand shares a day on average. The company has a market cap of 63.38 million.

Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA) is up 3.75% in pre market trading at $12.85. ZNGA shares continue to rally following the filing of Facebook’s IPO. Zynga and Facebook are very closely tied together with Zynga’s success dependent on Facebook’s success. ZNGA trades 11.5 million shares a day on average, but has been trading many times that over the past few days. The company has a market cap of 8.66 billion.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) is up 1.22% in pre market trading at $14.11. DNDN shares saw a jump at the beginning of January from $8 to $14, but since then has been trading flat. DNDN trades 9.1 million shares a day on average and has a market cap of 2.08 billion.

Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN) is down 3.46% in pre market trading at $116.60. WYNN shares are down after the company released quarterly results yesterday. Profits came in at $1.55, beating estimates of $1.29. Investors are still worried about a possible slowdown in the growth of the company’s Macua operations. The company has a market cap of 15 billion.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) is up 2.82% in pre market trading at $7.66. BAC has traded 501 thousand shares this morning and trades 268 million shares a day on average. BAC shares are up along with the overall market following a good jobs report. The company has a market cap of 78.49 billion.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is up 1.04% in pre market trading at $125.29. NFLX trades 8.6 million shares a day on average. Look for an across the board rally in stocks today as jobs numbers blew by expectations. So far this year, NFLX shares are up more than $50 a share. The company has a market cap of 6.87 billion.

Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ:APKT) is down 9.58% in pre market trading at $27.93. APKT has traded 338 thousand shares already this morning and trades 2.7 million shares a day on average. Stock Futures Strong After Successful Bond Auctions. Stocks to Watch: JASO, BAC, MNST, DNDN, AAPL, SHLD, WYNN

US stock futures were following Europe’s lead higher this morning after Spain and Italy’s successful bond auctions. Traders were also waiting for a string of economic reports and are watching the ECB taking place this morning in Europe. Dow futures are currently up 50 points to 12,438. Nasdaq 100 futures are adding 15 points to 2,382.S&P 500 futures are rounding out the gains adding over 7 points to 1,296.

Europe is back in focus this morning and for once it gives a few pieces of good news. The banking heavy Stoxx 600 Index is up .82% after the successful bond auctions in Spain and Italy. The drop in borrowing costs helped take the pressure off the regions hard-hit banking sector.

Thursday’s economic data calendar is also stacked. At 8:30am the weekly jobless claims report releases and November inventory numbers will be released at 10am. Investors are hoping the jobless numbers continue to show a strengthening labor market.

Corporate news should bring PVH Corp. into focus. The company raised its outlook overnight on the strength of brand performance, specially Calvin Klein. Shares of Chevron are dropping in pre-market trading after the company warned of weakness in downstream business areas.

Overnight trading in Asia was to the downside as investors worried about the upcoming bond auctions in the EU. Inflationary numbers out of China showed a slight easing, but food inflation continues to run rampant. This may give officials there the leverage they need to ease monetary policy to keep Chinese growth strong and prevent a hard-landing.

Commodities, especially precious metals,continue their broad-based rally in 2012. Gold prices are up another percent this morning to $1657 per ounce. Nymex crude oil futures are also up, adding $1.29 to $102 per barrel.

Stocks to watch today include JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), Monster Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ:MNST), Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) and Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN)

JA Solar Holdings, Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) is up 6.19% in pre market trading at $2.06. Solar stocks may continue their rally from yesterday following reports of stronger demand.According to Digitimes, solar firms are also looking at increasing their prices some due to the higher demand. JASO trades 4.1 million shares a day on average and has a market worth of 319.43 million.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) is up 2.91% this morning at $7.08. Stock futures for the overall market are reacting positiviely this morning causing BAC stock to rise as well. BAC has had a nice run up since the middle of December when it went under $5 breifly. BAC trades 265 million shares a day on average and has a market cap of 69.63 billion.

Monster Beverage Corporation (NASDAQ:MNST) is up 3.08% in pre market trading at $95.25. MNST saw a jump in after hours yesterday as well following news of a 2-1 stock split. This stock split will occur on February 15 and each shareholder holding stock as of February 6 will receive an additional share. MNST trades just over 900 thousand shares a day and has a market cap of 8.05 billion.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) is up 1.81% in pre market trading at $14.61. DNDN has been trending higher for more than a week now after reporting strong Provenge sales in the fourth quarter. DNDN trades 7.7 million shares on average and the company is currently worth 2.14 billion.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is up 0.69% this morning at $425.47. Yesterday the Gadsden City Board of Education approved a three-year agreement with Apple that will see 420 iPads and other equipment in their schools. AAPL shares have been trading relatively flat the past couple of days after running up more than $40 a share earlier this month and last month. AAPL trades 14.3 million shares a day on average and has a market cap of 392.72 billion.

Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) is down 9.42% in pre market trading at $29.80. News that Sears suppliers’ loans are to be halted today has sent the stock down this morning. SHLD has an average daily volume of 1.2 million shares and a market cap of 3.52 billion.

Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN) is down 7.31% in pre market trading at $103.71. Late yesterday, Wynn Vice Chairman Kazuo Okada sued the company for access to see the company’s books. Traders reacted negatively to this news this morning after the stock saw a nice $3 rally yesterday. WYNN trades about 3 million shares daily and has a market cap of 13.89 billion.
