Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:NUAN) is up 5.04% in after hours trading at $29.40. The Apple supplier is up following Apple’s stellar quarterly results. The company has a market cap of 8.42 blilion.

Stocks continue to trade mixed in afternoon trading with the Dow in positive territory while the Nasdaq and S&P are negative. Earnings from tech giants Microsoft and IBM are helping prop up the Dow. Google’s disappointing earnings and nagging concerns in Europe held the other two indices down. Right now the Dow is up 56 points, the Nasdaq has dropped 8 points and the S&P is off 3 points.

Here’s a quick look at some of the most active stocks trading today.

CPI Corporation (NYSE:CPY) is up 24.26% this afternoon at $1.68. CPY is trading heavy volume today as the stock is seeing a nice bounce after falling from over $5 in late December following poor third quarter results. CPY has traded 1.6 million shares so far today, more than five times its daily average. The company has a current market cap of 11.89 million.

BroadVision, Inc. (NASDAQ:BVSN) continues to go higher today and is up another 15.89% at $28.01. BVSN continues to trade extremely high volume compared to its daily average with 734 thousand shares traded today. The stock’s daily average volume is 95 thousand shares. Spain and France both saw strong demand at their most recent government debt auctions. Closer to home, weekly jobless claims came in at 352,000. This is the lowest they’ve been in four years. Jobless claims under 375,000 show strength in the jobs market and can lower the unemployment rate. The indices are up in the last hour of trading with the Dow jumping 36 points, the Nasdaq up 18 points and the S&P up 6 points.

8×8 Inc. (NASDAQ:EGHT) is up 26.25% today at $4.30. EGHT shares are up after reporting earnings yesterday that exceeded expectations. EGHT reported revenue of $23 million and EPS of $0.04, both beating analysts estimates. EGHT has traded huge volume today with 6.3 million shares traded, ten times its daily average. The company has a market cap of 299.74 million.

NetScout Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTCT) is up 17.07% in afternoon trading at $19.97. NTCT has traded 1.1 million shares today, well above its daily average of 283 thousand shares. NTCT shares rose after their third quarter earnings beat estimates. The company reported an EPS of $0.35, beating estimates by $0.02. Revenue rose more than 9% to $83.3 million. The company has a market cap of 826.90 million.
