Afternoon Movers as Stocks Remain Mixed

Stocks are mixed in midday trading today as mixed data on the U.S. economy and news of a delay on Greece’s bailout give investors pause. Homebuilder sentiment rose this month, but U.S. industrial production was flat. Economists were expecting industrial production increase 0.7%. The Dow is getting hit hardest today as it drops 76 points. The Nasdaq is being propped up by tech stocks today and is up 3 points. Finally, the S&P 500 is down slightly at 2 points.

Cybex International, Inc. (NASDAQ:CYBI) is up 26.32% in afternoon trading at $1.92. CYBI has traded 541 thousand shares so far today, well above its daily average of 51 thousand shares. Cybex reported fourth quarter results earlier today. Net sales for the fourth quarter were $43.1 million, up $3 million from the same period a year ago. Stocks are heading lower in afternoon trading after a meeting between EU finance ministers to discuss Greece’s second rescue package was cancelled. The Dow is down 75 points, the Nasdaq is down 17 points and the S&P 500 is down 9 points.

Hauppauge Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAUP) is up 45.52% today at $1.51. HAUP has traded 1.7 million shares so far today, way above its daily average of 47 thousand shares. HAUP shares are rallying after the company posted its most recent quarterly results today. The company has a market cap of 16.6 million.

Chelsea Therapeutics International (NASDAQ:CHTP) is up 17.36% this afternoon at $3.65. CHTP has traded more than 4 million shares today, 5 times its average volume.
