Stocks are mixed today as investors pause after yesterday’s rally. Optimism over the Greece situation is helping the Dow stay positive this morning. Consumer prices increased in January by 0.2%, the biggest gain in four months. This was below economists estimates, who were expecting a 0.3% increase. In early trading the Dow is up 25 points, the Nasdaq is down 6 points and the S&P 500 is up 1 point.

Brightcove Inc. (NASDAQ:BCOV) is up 37.27% today at $15.10. BCOV has traded 2.6 million shares so far today. Brightcove shares opened 32% higher than its IPO price of $11 today. The company was valued at $382.8 million at its open price. One of Brightcove’s biggest shareholders includes Accel Partners which also holds an 11% stake in Facebook. [Read more...]

SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) is up 10.96% in after hours trading at $8.30. SPWR announced fourth quarter earnings after the market close today. SunPower reported a net loss of $83.1 million or $0.84 per share. In the same period last year, the company reported net income of $152.3 million or $1.44 per share. The company has a market cap of 749.32 million.

Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) is up 4.69% in after hours trading at $13.21. AMAT shares are up this afternoon following the company’s quarterly results. RAM Energy Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ:RAM) is up another 10% today at $2.20. RAM has traded 1.7 million shares so far today, well above its daily average of 337 thousand shares. RAM Energy saw a huge gain yesterday after the company announced it sold majority stake to private company. The company has a current market cap of 174.17 million.

Stocks are falling more than 1% with about thirty minutes left in the trading day. The market fell today as investors worry about the euro zone. The Euro fell below 1.30 and is currently trading at 1.2980. High Italian bond yields also kept traders on edge.
