The markets are up this morning despite political instability in the Korean Peninsula following Kim-Jong il’s death. Home builder sentiment rose for the third straight month as well giving the markets a little boost. Taking a look at the markets around 10:45 am EST the Dow is up 45 points, the Nasdaq is up 13 points and the S&P is up 3 points. Volume will probably be relatively light this week baring any breaking news out of Europe as traders get ready for the holidays. Here’s a quick look at stocks heading up this morning.

Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. (NASDAQ:WINN) is up 70.63% this morning at $9.26. WINN has traded 39.8 million shares so far today, well above its daily average volume of just 951 thousand shares. Winn-Dixie shares jumped this morning after Bi-Lo said it would acquire the company for $9.50 a share. The company has a current market cap of 520.65 million.
