Wall Street signThe street is back on its bullish streak. After an improved Spanish auction, EU concerns were alleviated for the time being. The street is also shrugging off a mixed bag on housing and manufacturing to head higher.

In tech, Apple shares are looking to break their recent losing streak and are up in early trading. This is helping push the whole tech sector higher thanks to its weighting within the Nasdaq index.

Currently the Dow is up 163 to 13,087. The Nasdaq and S&P are both heading higher, adding 49 and 19 points respectively. [Read more...]

Wall Street signInvestors are shrugging off a disappointing jobs report on the news that the Fed will keep interest rates low for the foreseeable future. New York Fed President, William Dudley, told an audience that he thinks the US economy is not yet strong enough to make a serious dent in the jobless rate.

The comes a day after another Fed official speech in which it was said that the US would fall short of meeting its maximum employment objectives. This will almost certainly get the QE rumor mill spooled back up and into overdrive.

Investors are also gearing up for Google’s earnings report after the close today.
