Wall Street signStocks are trading lower this morning as a couple of large tech companies drag the indices lower. Investors were also disappointed to see that the minutes from the Bank of England showed only one member of the Monetary Policy Committee supported another round of QE.

Intel shares fell this morning despite the company posted earnings that beat earnings and revenue estimates. IBM is also trading lower today as their revenue came in slightly lower than analyst estimates.

The Dow is down 30 points right now, the Nasdaq is down 2 points and the S&P 500 is down 2 points. [Read more...]

Insiders Trading Report for April 2

Wall Street signUS indices started the second quarter off on a positive note. Manufacturing data came into sharp focus, and while it was mixed, it was enough to push stocks higher. The stocks reversed after the ISM beat after being weighed down by European data and conflicting Chinese data points.

The Dow closed yesterday up over 52 points to 13,264. The Nasdaq and S&P500 both added 28 and 10 points respectively. [Read more...]

Insiders Trading Report for March 29

Traders at the NYSEYesterday’s whipsawing action on the domestic markets may be a sign of a slow down looming. Europe is looking like it wants to turn its sovereign debt crisis into a never ending mini-series. The Dow managed to recover all of its losses on the day and closed up 19 points. The Nasdaq and S&P remained in negative territory, dropping 10 and 2 points respectively.

Jobless data yesterday was massaged by revisions to make it appear as a drop in claims. The print from the week previous was revised upwards to 364k. Created a better looking headline of a 5k drop in claims. Will be interesting to see when earnings season starts anew in the coming weeks, plus the late April Fed meeting. [Read more...]
