Another day, more Euro concerns. A meeting of the EU finance ministers is ongoing and investors are waiting to see what kind of kick the can measures Europe can possibly come up with now. Their summit from last week last week did little calm the rolling markets.
Currently Dow futures are down 36, the Nasdq 6 and the S&P 4 points.
Domestically, investors are still digesting the NFP report from Friday which showed a continued anemic job market. Earning season is also set to kick off with Alcoa coming up early this week. Sign Up For Free Stock Alerts
In commodities oil and gold are both positive in early trading. Oil prices have been whipsawing in the mid $80s as economic conditions and tensions in the middle east battle for supremacy. Nymex futures are currently up 52 cents to nearly $85 per barrel. Gold is up $7.60 to $1,586.40 per ounce. [Read more...]
